Este viernes arrancará la instalación del pino navideño en la explanada de la Plaza Mayor, junto a la presidencia municipal de Torreón, medirá 15 metros de alto y contará con otros pinos complementarios, así como otros adornos. La inversión es de 2 millones de pesos.
Fernando Villarreal Cuéllar, director de Servicios Públicos Municipales, dijo que se contará con un evento para el encendido general, por lo que ya se realizan las pruebas para la instalación de luces alrededor de la ciudad, por vialidades como el bulevar Independencia, la calzada Colón y el Paseo Morelos, además de reforzar algunas áreas de transito pesado.
En años anteriores, el pino navideño de Plaza Mayor, junto a la villa temática, eran colocados mediante un convenio con el gobierno del estado de Coahuila, que en esta ocasión no se dio.
El funcionario dijo que, al buscar adornos y luces de la administración municipal anterior, no se encontró nada, por lo que se tuvo que comprar.
“El pino anterior se rentaba, año con año, este va a ser propiedad de la ciudad, para que cada año no se tenga que hacer una inversión más fuerte, sino que se quede para disfrute de los paseantes”, comentó, “también era un tema en coordinación con el gobierno del estado, lo hacían en todo el estado y una de las ciudades era Torreón, ahora se decidió hacer la compra de un pino para la posteridad”.
LUCES Y DECORACIÓN NAVIDEÑA
Villarreal Cuéllar dijo que se trabaja en la colocación de cientos de luces y decoración navideña en las calles del Municipio, la distribución de cascadas de luz en la calzada Colón de manera aérea en forma de zigzag por ambos sentidos, en el tramo que va de la avenida Hidalgo hasta la Allende. Los trabajos son realizados por personal distribuido en seis cuadrillas, con el apoyo de dos grúas y el mismo número de camionetas, repartido en forma estratégica para el avance de la labor.
Señaló que, en próximos días, se colocarán series de luz amarilla en las palmas que se ubican en el camellón del bulevar Independencia, en el tramo que va desde la calle Galeana hasta Cuatro Caminos. Sumado a estas acciones, elementos de la dirección instalarán estrellas de escarcha e iluminación en diferentes puntos del municipio como en Diagonal Reforma, bulevar Independencia y calzada Colón.
En la Plaza Mayor se colocará un árbol de 15 metros y otros dos de menores dimensiones, los cuales serán decorados con esferas e iluminación. Lo colocado son adornos nuevos, con alrededor de 2 mil 600 metros de luces y series navideñas.
